Privacy policy
This policy explains what data Searchie.dev collects, who else receives it, and what you can do about it. Searchie.dev is an independent editorial site. It has no user accounts, no logins, and no shopping cart, so the data involved is limited to analytics and advertising.
Who runs this site
Searchie.dev is operated independently and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Membership.io or its owners. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@searchie.dev.
Information collected directly
Searchie.dev does not ask you for personal information. There is no signup form, no newsletter form, and no comment system. If you email the address above, that email and its contents are held only for as long as needed to reply.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, Searchie.dev and the third-party services embedded in it automatically receive technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the time of the visit, and the page or search that referred you.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic — which pages get read, which links get clicked, and roughly where visitors come from. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data on Google's infrastructure. It is used here for site measurement only, not to identify individuals. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's privacy policy, and you can opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
Searchie.dev displays advertising through Google AdSense. The following disclosures apply:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them less relevant.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
- Third-party ad networks other than Google may also serve ads through Google's platform. Searchie.dev does not control the cookies those vendors set, and their own privacy policies govern their use.
- Google's advertising practices are described in more detail at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent message before personalised advertising and analytics cookies are used, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the same message.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination may record that the visit came from Searchie.dev, usually with a cookie, so that any resulting purchase can be credited. This does not change what you pay. The full detail is on the affiliate disclosure page.
Cookies in summary
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to measure traffic.
- Advertising cookies — set by Google and its ad partners to select and measure ads.
- Affiliate tracking cookies — set by the destination site when you follow a sponsored link.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not break this site, though it may make the advertising you see less relevant.
Children
This site is aimed at people running or evaluating a business. It is not directed at children under 13, and no data is knowingly collected from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, and to object to certain processing. Because this site holds no account data, most such requests are best directed at Google, which is the processor for the analytics and advertising data described above. For anything held here — essentially, email correspondence — write to info@searchie.dev.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when the site's data practices change. The date at the top reflects the last revision.
